On a recent long weekends diving in Majorca (very nice by the way) the baggage allowance (every divers nightmare) was 40kg between two people. On arrival at Doncaster total weight was 40.3kg, no charge. On departing from Palma, four days later, total weight 44kg (and the food inside that we took for self catering had been eaten) cost 48 euros, I, in my own "quiet" way rose the roof about faulty scales and made an official complaint (as this happened last year and i did nothing about it) Here comes the crunch, because it was a quick weekends "hop" the gear was (as it turns out, not quite dry) and therefore weighed that bit more on the return, my first thought was water in the bc, but that wasn't the case. Being adament I was right about the weight, we re-weighed the cases back at Doncaster only to find I had "egg on my face" |
